Kids reading

Hey! Here's what wee is all about

Wee is a reading practice app with 10 different games that train different parts of your reading brain. Some focus on sounds, some on understanding stories, some on building words — and they all get harder as you get better.

The app figures out what you're good at and what you need to work on, then picks the right challenge for you. You'll never get stuck on stuff that's too easy or too hard.

Logging in

You don't need an email or a password. Your parent or teacher gave you a login code like FOX-5678. Just type it in on the login page under the "I'm a kid" tab, and you're in.

Tips

Tips

You can pause any game with the moon button. Your progress is saved for 24 hours.

The Diagnostic Test at the start helps the app understand your level. It's not graded — just be yourself.

Your streak counts how many days in a row you've played. Miss a day? You get one free pass!

If reading feels hard on your eyes, ask your parent about Reading Comfort — it changes the fonts and colours.

Reading

What is this app?

Wee is a reading practice tool with 10 exercises that cover different reading skills — phonics, vocabulary, fluency, and comprehension. It adapts to your level automatically: the more you practice, the smarter it gets about what to give you next.

No one else sees your scores. There are no leaderboards. It's just you and your own progress.

How the system works

How the adaptive system works

Behind the scenes, the app tracks your accuracy on each exercise type. Here's what actually happens:

1
Diagnostic test — When you first start, you take a short assessment. This gives the app a starting point for your difficulty level. It's not a grade; it's a calibration.
2
Rolling accuracy — After your first 5 attempts at any exercise type, the app looks at your recent scores. Above 85% accuracy? Difficulty goes up. Below 60%? It eases off. In between? You stay where you are.
3
No repeats — The app remembers the last 3 exercises you did and avoids giving you the same content again.

XP and levels

XP, levels, and the study den

You earn XP for each exercise. The amount depends on the difficulty level and how many you get right. Getting 100% earns a bonus. XP accumulates into levels (every 100 XP = 1 level).

Your dashboard is the Study Den — a calm space with your stats, a recommended exercise, and a private goal field that only you can see. No one else — not your teacher, not your parents — can read your goal.

Your login

You log in with an animal code like OWL-9012 — no email or password needed. Your parent or teacher can find your code in Settings.
