wee.cat is built with privacy at its core. We use end-to-end encryption to ensure your messages and data remain private. This policy explains what data we collect and how we use it.

Data We Collect

• Account information: Your email address and display name, used to identify you within your workspace.
• Encrypted messages: Messages are encrypted end-to-end. We store the encrypted ciphertext but cannot read your message content.
• Usage metadata: Basic usage data such as login timestamps and device type to maintain service quality.
• Files & media: Files you upload are stored encrypted and are only accessible to workspace members with the appropriate keys.

What We Don't Do

• We do not sell your data to third parties.
• We do not use your data for advertising.
• We do not read your encrypted messages.
• We do not share your data with third parties except as required by law.

Data Retention

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, your data is permanently removed from our servers within 30 days.

Security

We use industry-standard security practices including end-to-end encryption, TLS for data in transit, and encrypted storage at rest. Encryption keys are managed on-device and never transmitted to our servers in plaintext.
